Happy Hour of the Week
If you're a hankering for a fancy drink but can't stomach the pretentious crowd, obnoxious neighborhood and prohibitive prices of the Gansevoort (and the like), you will probably find happiness at KeyBar, a Ukranian-themed hideout in the East Village. With 2 for 1 drinks EVERY DAY until 10, tasty martinis including passion fruit and lychee (that are good and strong), and $2.50 shots (must try: the Rolo - made from the candy!) this place goes above and beyond out notion of happy hour. Come here after work, or later in the night - a small but cozy space hosts the work of local artists and DJs spin euro beats post 11pm. A great place to host a party as well- the staff will reserve space for your group at no cost.
