Wallowing in the Gutter
70s-style bowling, 70s-style prices. Ok, maybe 80s-style prices. But still way cheaper than bowlmor.
RecessionGirl's favorite get-the-gang-together and let pride be the prize night out: the no-frills lanes at The Gutter.
Just $15 gets you two hours of bowling, stylish red and green striped shoes, a seat in prime view of boys way prettier than you, and a whole night of trash talking good times. Of course, one cannot bowl for crap without being semi-loaded ... luckily, $3-off pitchers or $1-off already afforable pints of a plethora of drafts helps with that. Throw in gourmet pizza delivered from down the block at $5 a person and everyone waddles home happy, gutter balls or not. Yeah, it's a bit of a trek to N. 14th St and Whyte in Williamsburg, but half of you have had to relocate to a six-person loft in this hood already thanks to the recession. The other half might as well enjoy seeing what the future entails.
